It is just a few hours a week but it means a person newly immigrated to Regina feels integrated to their new home.
Regina Public Library (RPL) has long offered adult literacy programs, in particular English-as-a-second language courses. But the need is so great that the wait lists to get into the programs are growing.
That is why RPL is asking you to give the gift of English. The library is looking for about 250 volunteers, and need 50 more people to make that goal.
